Disability insurance coverage provides you monthly cash payments in event of accident or illness for the duration of term. Disability can be caused by sudden accident or degenerative illness. It replaces portion of your paycheque while you are recovering from accident or illness which is typically 60 to 85 percent of your regular income. The benefit payment is made until you are in good health and ready to work or your term of your disability coverage expires.
